Seneca Park Zoo–the tourist version

Sunday started with church.  Lots of hugs and catching up with friends. 

We were some of the last to leave the building and we changed clothes for our zoo outing.  A quick stop for pizza.

The weather was extraordinarily warm for November.

Nan, Kelly and Barb came with us, and we met up with Nadine and Asher.
Nadine brought Ridge Donuts!

I know there were animals.  We saw them.  But mostly there was a lot of visiting.

Outings… Picnic at Ba and Poppy’s

After church we headed to Ba and Poppy’s for a wonderful picnic on the back porch.  Alana and John, and Bruce were able to join us.

Kelly had some gift cards for The Cheesecake Factory and she invited Nan, Barb, and I for lunch on Mother’s Day.

BUT – there was a two hour wait.  Oops.

So we went to Benucci’s.

It was a great choice.

We all split an Italian “Nachos” plate.

And it was so good – I ate so much I barely touched my Mediterranean salad.

It was dinner for a queen.  ♥

Sunday Dinner

While I’d like to claim I made a pot roast, mashed potatoes, asparagus and homemade bread, the truth is I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday dinner with some of my favorite people.

Christkindl with Nan and Nene

Johanna got to go with Nan and Nene to Christkindl today.  She had such a fun time.

She even went to Elf School.

Movie moments

I did not get very many hours at work for the month of September.  It ended up making for some fun (but – gulp – expensive) weekends.
After my dinner with Marie at Red Lobster, we headed home to watch the movie Cinderella with the family.  We let the little girls stay up to watch it, and Katriel even dressed for the occasion.
 


The movie didn’t end until almost 10!  I can’t believe they little girlies managed to stay awake for the whole thing.  But it was such a lovely movie, I don’t blame them for working hard at it.

The next night, the boys, Kelly, and I went to Tinseltown to see Everest in 3D.  I’m not super big on 3D but I figured a mountain climbing movie was a lot safer than, say, a dinosaur movie.  This movie was pretty good, if you didn’t mind the lack of a feel-good ending.

 
And it did feel good to get out with my fellas.  Can you see us?
 

A Neen-Marie date

Marie’s broken foot has kept her out of a handful of activities this summer.  But her Nan and Neen have been spending a little more time with her and spicing up her days.
