And I made him drive home part of the way.
My baby boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Katriel’s friend Maddie approached her as she arrived to church last week with a dress identical to the one she had on. She had obtained two dresses from hand-me-down sources that matched. She asked her mom if she could give one to Katriel so that they could be “matchy-matchy.” Katriel was delighted by the idea and this week they got to make that happen.
The boys started attending VBS in 2006, and Stewart started assisting in 2012. Nigel started helping in 2014, me in 2015, Marie in 2016, and now Tab in 2018.
Stewart has been a Bible teacher since the beginning, and Nigel, Marie and I have done different things each year. This year Nigel assisted in leading group 4, Marie assisted Stewart in Bible, and Tab and I lead group 2.
The theme was Time Lab where we went back in time to see that God is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Here is a week in review.
Hanny seeing the time lab.
Nigel’s crew.
My crew.
This beauty turned 14 today.
Time has flown from the first time I heard, “It’s a girl,” and this day.
She was a busy toddler who transformed into a mommy’s-little-buddy on her third birthday.
She loves to write, play for her beloved Scarlet Knights soccer team, and play piano.
We celebrated with dinner with the family, lots of fun presents, and an amazing cake she picked for the date.
When we first moved in, we hired someone to paint many rooms of the house, including the upstairs hall and stairwell.
Again in 2014, we had someone paint these areas.
The second time it was not done at all well, and that, plus four years of marking it up, and it was well overdue.
I love to paint. And it has always bugged me that I didn’t have a way to paint this area.
I looked into it on and off for over a year, and we finally dug in.
A new ladder, a silly wooden box for the steps, some raw grit, and a trusted spotter and I got it painted!!!
I was shaking so much the little tool in my hand was rattling.
Isn’t it pretty!?
